A moment in time is captured on the Russian River in Forestville, CA in this photograph made in late Autumn in Sonoma County. The river becomes a pool of blue glass as it meets the sky surrounded by the golds of the turning leaves, just before the season changes. A perfectly balanced image of water, mountains and the sky brings a tranquility to any space.
On a chilly, late October afternoon, I crossed the Hacienda Bridge in Forestville, CA and parked my car. As I pulled out my tripod and cameras, I could tell today was the day; the light was perfect, the colors at their peak. As I climbed down a ridge to set up for my shot, a floating cloud of fog came into view and rested beneath the mountain peaks in the distance. The late afternoon sun lit up the late Autumn colors and the blue sky reflected in deepness into the stillness of the Russian River below. A once in a lifetime shot!

The canvas prints are quite durable and should resist most scratches, smudges, and fingerprints.
You can dust with a soft, dry cloth. You can use a soft, dry cloth on the metal prints as well.
What is the benefit of ordering a canvas print or a metal print vs. a fine art print/ photograph?
Both the canvas and metal prints arrive ready to be hung. A fine art print will require framing.
Are the paintings in the category, Atmospheric Art original paintings?
The artwork offered under this category are original paintings by Barbara Bourne. The paintings are reproduced onto canvas, metal, or fine art prints.
What is the best way to hang a canvas?
Two saw-tooth hangers will be evenly spaced on the back of the canvas frame. When hanging art, the general rule of thumb is to have the center of the art from 60” – 66”.
